M. Frank Floyd

Passed away at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Sunday, January 10, 2010. Age 88 years.
Survived by his daughters Judith (Frank-deceased) Somacal and Janice (Bob) Agazzi. Two granddaughters Susan (John) Dixon and Sandra (Gene Scheffler) Somacal, two great-granddaughters Alexa and Haley Dixon. Three sisters Violet Gambrel, Mary (Gerald) Peterson and Ruth (Bill) Byrnes. Two brothers Lawrence (Jennie Ann) Floyd and William (Shirley) Floyd. Also many friends at Essington Place Residence.
Preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Floyd (2005), a son James in infancy, his parents Oren and Inez Floyd, his brother Clyde Floyd.
Frank retired from the Joliet Post Office in 1984. He was a lifelong member of Ingalls Park United Methodist Church. Frank graduated from Joliet Township High School Class of 1939. Veteran of W.W. II serving as a tailgunner with the U.S. Navy. Life member of Stone City Post #2199.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, January 13 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Daniel C. Davis officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 A.M until time of services.
