Nicole L. Clem

September 26, 1973 - February 13, 2012

Passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home after her battle with cancer, Monday, February 13, 2012.. Age 38 years.

Survived by her loving husband of 14 years Eric J. Clem and their two children Joshua and Courtney Clem. Her brother James P. (Kelly) Karales and her sister Lisa A. Karales. Her parents James N. (Rhonda) Karales and Susan M. (Steve) O’Donnell. Her father and mother-in-law Mike and Jill Clem, sister-in-law Michelle (Dave) Bucher. Her paternal grandmother Doris V. Karales. Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Nicholas Karales and her maternal grandparents LaVerne and Marion Robinson.

Nicole was born September 26, 1973 in Joliet. She attended Plainfield High School and graduated from Andrew High School Class of 1991. She received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the College of St. Joseph School of Nursing. Nicole was a nurse at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Edwards Hospital, Plainfield School District School Nurse and most recently Rush-Copley Medical Center.
Nicole was an active member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Minooka. She also was a avid runner having completed 5k runs. Her most important endeavor in life was her devotion to her husband and children.

Funeral Information

Lying in state at the First Baptist Church of Minooka, 4295 Van Dyke Rd. Minooka, Friday, February 17 from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Andrew O’Neal officiating. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home,. 2320 Black Rd., Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Clem Children Educational Bright Direction Fund at Chase will be appreciated.
