Passed away at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Sunday, December 11, 2011. Age 91 years. Survived by her son Robert (Beverly) Edman and two daughters Laurie Palacios and Jacquelyn (Harvey) Scheuer. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her sister Anita Leonard. Preceded in death by her husband Jack Chavez (2005) and her parents Norton and Gladys Carey. Norma was born November 1, 1920 in Joliet. She worked for Stand Insurance Co. in Lemont and Hansel Insurance Companies in Joliet. Former president and member of the Joliet Colostomy Club. Norma was an avid bowler at Lockport Lanes and Town and Country Lanes. Funeral InformationMemorial service will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Wednesday, December 14, at 11:00 A.M. Rev. David T. Green officiating.
