William T. Keigher

April 30, 1933 - February 15, 2012

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Age 79.
Survived by his loving wife Helen (nee Sula) Keigher; his son James (Susan) Keigher and a daughter Debra (Patrick) Futterer. Three grandchildren William and Jay (Sarah) Keigher and Zachary Futterer. Three brothers Walter (Shirley), Patrick (Joyce) and Terrance (Deb Demello) Keigher. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents Francis and Susan Keigher.
Veteran of the US Army. Member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church; life member of the Stone City; and the Illinois Association of Retired Firefighters.
Retired Captain with the Joliet Fire Department.
Bill enjoyed golfing and got his “Hole-in-one” at Inwood, he enjoyed playing softball also.
A special “thank you” to Dr.’s Iskander, McDonough and Martini and the ICU nurses for their compassion and care during his illness.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Tuesday, February 21st at 9:30 A.M. to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 4-8 PM.
