Of Plainfield, passed away at his residence, Thursday, January 13, 2011. Age 56 years. \r\n\r\nSurvived by his wife of 35 years Janice C. Strutzenberg (nee Sides), two daughters Nicolette (Rich) Raley and Amanda Strutzenberg. A son Justin Strutzenberg. Two grandchildren Reese and Tucker Raley. His father Eugene (Donna) Strutzenberg. Eight brothers and sisters Lauren Hoytt, Reed (Sharon) Strutzenberg, Armin (Cheri) Strutzenberg, Marlene Bellettini, Lind Strutzenberg, Sally (Jeff) Ebel, LaVon (Ed) Compton and Neal (Donna) Strutzenberg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nPreceded in death by mother Laura Strutzenberg (1985).\r\n\r\nVern was born in Chicago, March 31, 1954. He graduated from Richards High School Class of 1972. Vern retired from Waste Management after 28 years, having been Driver of the Year. He enjoyed fishing, camping, taking care of his yard and NASCAR. He formerly drove stock cars at U.S. 30 Raceway and Santa Fe Raceway.\r\n\r\n
