Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with lymphoma on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Age 47. \r\n\r\nSurvived by two sons Joseph Potts and Joseph Edwards Jr and a daughter Ashley C. Edwards; his parents Bobby and Illa (nee Long) Edwards Sr., three brothers Bobby (Janice), Dale (Janet) and Billy Edwards; a sister Janice Edwards. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.\r\n \r\nPreceded in death by his paternal grandparents Lillian Owens and Joseph Edwards; maternal grandparents Hazel Draper and Wilbert Long.\r\n\r\nVeteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Member of the Will County Baptist Temple. Joe was an avid fisherman.\r\n\r\n
