Obituary

Of Orland Park, Sun City West, AZ. and a longtime resident of Joliet passed away peacefully at Silver Cross Hospital, Thursday, July 10, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Age 87 years. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Marion Saxon (nee Heitzman) and his loving children Linda (Oriano) Pagnuci, David (Rita) Saxon and Alan Saxon. He was blessed with six wonderful grandchildren and eight precious great-grandchildren who were the joy of his life and brought him so much happiness. He was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents George and Margaret Saxon, three sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter. Mickey was a 36 year employee of Commonwealth Edison. He always loved watching westerns and Lawrence Welk with his wife. Mickey's memory will remain with us forever. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Orland Park and Mokena, the Orland Township Senior Transportation Group for its loving care and Dr. Amit Joshi for his compassionate care. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Tuesday, July 15 from 10:00 A.M. until services at 11:00 A.M. Interment Elmhurst cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
