Survived by his wife Lois A. Dahlquist (nee Jonas), A son George (Maria) Masterson) of Burbank, IL. and a daughter Patty (Joe) Blum of Homer Glen, IL. Two step-sons Craig (Trisha) Dahlquist of Peoria and Mark Dahlquist of Villa Park, IL. A step-daughter Kay (Tom Carroll) Dahlquist of Naperville. His brother Daniel (Geri) Masterson of California. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Masterson (1988), a sister and his parents.\r\nRetired from Santa Fe Railroad as a locomotive engineer in 1990. Former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. Member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Veteran of the United States Army.
