Passed away peacefully of Lewy Body Dementia, January 5, 2014. Age 75 Years. Judy was being visited and comforted by family members and loved ones at the Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home at her time of passing.
Survived by her son James (Sherri) W. Hannah, Jr., her daughter Robyn M. Hannah-Andy, her precious grandchildren Jesse D. Hannah, John C. Hannah and Jewel M. Andy. Her brother Terrance Galick and her loving partner of over 20 years. Paul Ledesma all of Joliet. Also survived by her brother-in-law Elmer Rister, sister-in-law Shirley Galick of Texas. Two nices Cynthia Ishmael Williams and Dawn (Eduardo) Martinez. A nephew Frank Rister, also numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father Steven Galick, her mother Viola "Marie" (John) Williams (nee Frost), a brother Richard Galick and a sister Marcia Rister.
Born in Joliet, Judy was a lifelong resident and a devout Christian. Member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic church. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, bowling, dancing, reading, riding ferris wheels and loved animals. She retired after 14 years from Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet. She held a license in Cosmetology and continued taking college courses at Joliet Junior College throughout her life. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star of Illinois, Marguerite Chapter No. 187 O.E.S. and a member of the Kingsway Kickers and bowled on a league at Town & Country Lanes. She was a very proud grandmother and was not only a loving mother but a best friend to her children and will be missed greatly.
Funeral services will be held at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Saturday, January 11 at 11:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M.
