Obituary

Mary Lou Zambrano (nee Noyola) - , passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, after a brief bout with cancer, Thursday, January 18, 2018. Age 74 years. She was a loving and kind person and will be missed by many. Survived by her loving husband Jesse G. Zambrano (Homer Glen, IL.), her son Matthew (Marisa) Zambrano of Indianapolis, IN., daughter Michelle (Zambrano) Klobnak and her sister Filomena Martinez and 6 grandchildren (Jessica, Sophia, Gabriella, Veronica, Briahna and Andrew). She is also by too many nieces and nephews to count. Preceded in death by her parents Nikolas and Filomena Noyola, her sisters Sofia Lopez and Juanita Collins and her brother Nicholas Noyola. Graduate of Joliet Township High School and Moraine Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Mary Lou was a Contract Specialist for the Department of Energy, having worked for over 40 years with the U.S. Government. Mary Lou is best known for her candy. She created "Mary Lou's Candies" making and selling candy through the Chicagoland craft show circuit for over 20 years. She attended St. Bernard's Church in Joliet and Homer Glen. She enjoyed traveling, coordinating family get-togethers, and liked having "slots" of fun with some special family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, January 24th at 1:00 PM.
