Michael S. "Muskie Mike" Blackwood - Formerly of Hometown, IL, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at his home in Campbellsville, KY. Age 67. Survived by his wife Carol (nee Rubas) Blackwood; a daughter Michelle (Al) Lee; step-daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Rachael; grandchildren Annie, Michael and Olivia Lee; step-grandson Grant Rachael; his mother Louise (nee Moore) Blackwood; two sisters Ann (David) Chernow, Veronica Blackwood and a brother James (Cathy) Blackwood; a cousin Ann (Jack) Dorgan; several nieces, nephews and good friends also survive. Preceded in death by his first wife Ann (nee Dorrington) Blackwood and his father Sidney Blackwood. Born March 14, 1947 in Chicago. Veteran of the US Air Force. A retired auto mechanic who could fix anything. An avid fisherman, naturalist and animal lover, a lifelong Chicago White Sox, Bears and Blackhawks fan. A loving husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Interment with military honors will be held the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M.
