Of Crystal Falls, MI and formerly of Joliet, at Loyola Medical Center, Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Age 63 years.\r\nSurvived by his wife Joan A. (nee Weber), two sons Raymond Segerberg of Gardner, John W. (Cindy) Segerberg of Joliet, one daughter Arlene (Robert) Ellis of Gardner, nine grandchildren Raymond and James Segerberg, John T., Charles, Jacob, Erika, and Stephine Segerberg, Robert and Lucas Ellis, one sister Lois (Marvin) Johnson of Joliet, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Carol Smrekar of Joliet. Also numerous nieces and nephews. \r\nPreceded in death by a grandson Michael Segerberg, his parents John W. and Catherine (Wahtola) Segerberg and a sister Doris Wood.\r\nBorn in Joliet and was a long time Joliet resident. He has been a resident of Crystal Falls for the past 10 years. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Life member of V.F.W. #3134 in Crystal Falls. Retired from the Joliet Fire Dept. as a firefighter in 1995 and previously was employed for Northern Illinois Gas Co.. Member of First Lutheran Church of Joliet.
