Age 86 years. \r\nSurvived by his son Timothy (Lorel) Brockway of Carol Stream, IL., Two daughters Andrea Austrums of Darien, IL. and Jody (William) Duffy of Marietta, GA. Eight grandchildren, Ryan and Cori Brockway, Alex, Andrew and Paul Duffy, Brock Austrums, Darcy Carrie and Raymie Leavy. Four great-grandchildren Ann Claire, Paul, Allison and Brandon. Preceded in death by his wife Florence M. Brockway (1996), parents Worthy and Clara Brockway, and brother Roger Brockway. \r\nBorn in Plainfield IL. on November 13, 1921. Graduate of Plainfield High School Class 1939. He was a 1999 inductee into the Plainfield Hall of Fame with his 1937 Plainfield H.S Football Team. Retired from Commonwealth Edison after 44 years of service. Veteran of W.W.II serving in the U.S. Armored Division and later with the US Army Air Corp. Member of the Plainfield American Legion Marne Post #13. Past Exhaulted Ruler of the Joliet Elks Lodge #296, Member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. Disabled American Veterans DAV. Member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
