Formerly of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, with her loving daughter at her side, Sunday, November 30, 2008. Age 80 years.\r\nSurvived by her daughter Patricia (Philip) Onstad of Shorewood, Three sons David, Kevin and James Hill all of Joliet. \r\nFour grandchildren Mark (Shelley) Onstad of Joliet, Melissa (James) Sofos of Aurora, Dawn (Joe) Kuegh of Lockport, Randy and Eric Hill of Texas. Five great-grandchildren Teddy, Nicholas, Jordan, Cassie and Alexis. Her sister Mary Alice Tyler of Chaffee, MO. Four brothers Thomas (June) Tyler of Mequite, TX., Robert (Sue) Tyler of Scott City, MO., James (Barbara) Tyler of Benton, MO., and Michael (Glendia) Tyler of Columbus, MS. A daughter-in-law Irene Hill of Denison, TX. Also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous neices, nephews and cousins.\r\nPreceded in death by her loving husband Gordan A. Hill (1990), a son John S. Hill (2007), her parents Ernest (1990) and Jennie (2008) Tyler.\r\nBorn in Fornfelt, Missouri on July 29, 1928, Ada was Valdictorian of her graduating high school class. She married Gordon A. Hill in January 1948 and moved to Adrian, MI. where they raised their family until moving to Crest Hill in 1964. She worked at Rustcraft Greeting Card Co. and retired from St. Joseph Medical Center after many years as a CNA. Longtime member of First Assembly of God Church and the women's ministries, most recently attending Calvary Church in Naperville. Ada kept journals for many years and loved to write poems and short stories having her work published many years ago. Her family would like to give special thanks to her many care givers at Sunny Hill Nursing Home and Joliet Area Community Hospice. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Always putting her faith in God first, rejoicing in the Lord, with a song on her lips.
