Alice M. Trepel

(nee Tierney)

Age 93, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Joliet on September 14, 1929. Alice was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1947. She was employed for many years for the Beatrice Foods Co., Meadow Gold Dairy, and later for Lewis University and Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, John Trepel (1966); her daughter, Susan Trepel ; her step-daughter, Nancy Couch; her parents, Edward M. and Catharine (nee Wynne) Tierney; her sisters, Doris M. Tierney and Eileen Tierney and her brother, Francis G. (late, Arlene) Tierney.

Survived by her children, Donald (Annette) Trepel, Patricia Clementi, Joanne Lichtenauer, William (Karen) Trepel and James (Melissa) Trepel; her grandchildren, Christina ( Peter) Pavia, Eleni (Justin) Brisnahan, Daniel Trepel, Catherine O'Donnell, Elizabeth (Erik) Peterson, John (Razyeeh) Trepel, Andrew (Leah) Trepel, Kimberly Trepel, Benjamin Trepel, Sydney (Trevor) Thompson, Michael (Chelsea) Clementi and John Clementi; Thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Grace (Raymond) Ryan; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation for Alice M. Trepel will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 3 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:00 am with Rev. John Honiotes officiating.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice or the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
