Anita Louise Lopez (nee Costos) – passed away peacefully, at UI Health Chicago, with her family by her side, Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Age 66 years.

Survived by her daughter Jennifer (Cory) Dimmitt, two grandchildren Aliya Abercrombie and Jonathan Dimmitt, her brothers Rick (Terri) Lopez, Frank (Lisa) Lopez, sisters Linda Purkart, Jessica (Dave) Nolen and brother-in-law Mark Himes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her son Steven Platt her parents Nick and Gladys Costos, her brother Michael Costos and sister Cindy Himes.

Anita loved spending her time with her grandkids and playing games with them. She enjoyed going to the zoo, the beach and camping. Family was a big part of her life. Even throughout all of her struggles, she went to every holiday, every event and her grandkids sporting events. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Private family services were held at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory.
