Passed away at her residence, Saturday, May 15, 2021. Age 90 years. Survived by her two children Robert W. Pierce and Linda D. Taylor. Four grandchildren Julie (Paul) Taylor-Caruso, Lisa (Mike) Taylor-Lucente, Scott (Cheri) Taylor and Eric (Alysse) Taylor. Six great-grandchildren Jessica, Caitlyn and Olivia Caruso, Elizabeth and Zachary Lucente and Aliana Taylor. Preceded in death by her husband Albert W. Pierce, Jr. (2014), a son Albert W. Pierce III (2006), her brother John B. Meyer, III and sister Carol J. Welter. Arlene was born June 19, 1930 in Griffith, Indiana. She retired from Osco Drugs where she worked for many years and received many service awards. Member of Church of the Good Shepherd since 1964, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. She taught 100's of child in the church and surrounded community. Private family funeral services were held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
