Arlene M. Vota (nee Malek) - was born March 7, 1933 and passed away December 29, 2022 after a short illness. Beloved by family and friends, Arlene left a lasting impact and will be deeply missed. Arlene had many passions, dancing, traveling, painting, reading and always looking for a good deal. Arlene was employed by Joliet Medical Group for 30 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Hester, Kimberly (Steve) Bill, Krislette (Doug) Smeets, Kellene (Joe) Grogan. Grandchildren Arianne (Ben) Taylor, Jeff (Kristen) Hester, Andrea (Gary) Humphrey, Patrick (Katy) Hester, Adam (Justin) Smeets, Ryan Hester, Keely and Alex Grogan. 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and her fiancé Robert Meyers.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna Malek, loving husband Dominic Vota, sisters Mil Miderski, Emily Ziemann and brothers George and Joseph Malek.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 9:30 am from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet to Church of St. Jude, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
