Arleta "Lee"
Faillo
May 15, 1930 – March 7, 2023
Arleta "Lee" Faillo
(nee Eber)
Age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Lee was preceded in death by her former husband, Mark Daniel Kleeberg (1975), who was father to her five daughters, and also preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Faillo Jr. (2021); her daughter, Mary Blackburn and her parents, Arthur and Minetta (Bachman) Eber.
Survived by her daughters, Laurie (Barry) Corbin, Carol (Bill) May, Gail (Pat) McNamara and Chrissie (Jay) Blair; her step-son, Robert (Deb) Faillo and her step-daughter, Barbara (Lawrence) Olszowka; loving grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild;
one brother, Arthur Eber.
Lee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed singing in church choirs, having lunch with her neighbors and friends, her daughters and grandchildren. Before retiring, she worked part time at an employment agency, and was instrumental in helping her daughter Carol get started in a new career. Later, after she and her husband Bob retired, they worked together at the Carillon Real Estate office to help buyers get acclimated to the over 55 community living style. Many a morning was spent playing online card game "Spades" with her late daughter Mary and completing crossword puzzles in her favorite newspaper, the Chicago Tribune. She loved looking out her back window at nature and living by the water. She enjoyed looking outside at the swans, her "squirrely", and of course, "red" the bird! Her favorite animals were her granddogs, and loved getting visits from Mia, Tia, Nugget, Jenni, Lucky, and Daisy. She would never turn down an offer of ice cream, and her absolute favorite was "Magnum Ruby". AKA her "mini-bar". Everyone who knew her, from her grandson Dan to her loving caregiver Alice, or her friend and housemate Joe, was invited by her to sit down and share a "mini-bar" with her!
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
