Obituary

Arthur A. Webb – Of Joliet, passed away at Lightways Hospice, Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Age 90 years.

Survived by his loving wife Marie (Skocy) Webb, his daughters, Marjorie Webb and Amanda (Mark) Lindberg, his step-children Vickie Bell, James (Joann) Culp, Marie (Stafford) Hurley, Gina Stafford and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Velma Webb, his sister, Patricia Smith and his wife of 25 years, Dorothy (Landwehr) Culp.

Art graduated from Barrington (IL) High School 1950. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict (1953-1954). He went from farming with his father in Bone Gap, in Southern IL (1956) to an Engineer at Joliet Caterpillar plant, retiring after 31 years of service. Art enjoyed his family, traveling around the world, and serving others. A member of the Minooka UMC, he also served in the Aurora District, the Northern Illinois Annual Conference, the North Central Jurisdiction and the UMC General Conference. He served as a leader in the Channooka Crop Walk for over 25 years. He also received the Catholic Diocese's Award for his work with the Daybreak Shelter for the homeless.

Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
