Survived by his wife of 57 years Nancy L. Kirby (Nee Holmes), two daughters Kathy Kirby of Michigan and Terri Kirby of Chicago. His sister Helen Rosa of Peoria. Also several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by his parents Chester and Theresa Kirby, his sister Mary Kirby-Brunner. \r\nVeteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy during the Philippine, Asiatica and North African Theatres. Former member of Local 14 Bricklayers Union. Retired from BP Amoco in 1981 after 17 years. Member of United Methodist Church of Minooka. Graduate of J.T.H.S class of 1937. His family extends their thanks to his caregivers Annich Sandretto, Ann Keehn, Margie Stanfel, Michelle Dabulskis and the Joliet Area Community Hospice staff.
