Obituary

Barbara Ann Carnaghi (nee Luebs)

Age 74, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family, after losing her battle with cancer.

Survived by her devoted husband of 51 years Joseph Carnaghi, her son Scott (Jenny) Carnaghi, and two

daughters, Gina (Don) Parks, Angela (Jimmy) Pieroni; five granddaughters Izzy and Katie Carnaghi,

Hannah Monday, Maddy Pieroni, and Emily Parks; numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Mary Luebs, her sister Linda Ellinger, and brother Mike

Luebs.

Born August 10 th 1950, Barbara resided in Joliet all her life, and was a long-time member of St. Patrick

Catholic Church.

Barbara was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend, a confidant, a warm hug, and

word of encouragement when someone needed it most. She was the first to arrive to a party with a dish

in hand, the creative eye behind the camera, capturing beautiful moments over decades, an unwavering

sense of humor and a sanctuary for her grandkids filled with love and fresh baked cookies.

Barbara will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory 2320 Black Road, Joliet Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM until time of Services at 5:30 PM.
