At Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Age 87 years.\r\nSurvived by his son Michael (Terri) Baron of New Lenox. His granddaughter Elise. A brother Matthew (Lori) Baron of Joliet. Two sisters Sr. Mary Merwyn, O.F.M. and Julie DiBartolo both of Joliet. Also numerous nieces and nephews.\r\nPreceded in death by his wife Helen Baron (Nee Gurnitz) (1997), his parents Jacob and Mary Baron, Two sisters Tillie Hanson and Sr. Jane Baron, O.F.M., also six additional brothers and sisters.\r\nVeteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. Mike worked as a technologist with the Army and Navy for 25 years at the Joliet Arsenal and the Naval Ordinance Station in Forest Park. He later worked for the Joliet Grade Schools. Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
