Bernard Raymond Burke, aged 80, passed away on October 23, 2025, in Joliet, IL. Born on September 17, 1945, Bernard lived a life marked by the love of his family and community.

Bernard is survived by his children, Chris Burke, Bernie Burke, James(Meagen) Burke, Sara Burke, and Tracy Burke, along with eight grandchildren who brought him immense joy. His siblings, Patrick Burke and Peggie Malone, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Burke, and his parents, Dorothy Herkert-Brown and Henry Burke.

A devoted parishioner, Bernard worshiped at Our Lady of Perpetual Help - St. Mary Magdalene, where he was a familiar face to many in the congregation.

Friends and family are invited to gather and remember Bernard at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Joliet, on Friday, November 7th, 4:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 6:00 P.M

His life and legacy will be honored amid shared memories and prayers.
