Obituary

Bettie L. Kilhafner (nee-Wallace)- of Shorewood, passed away peacefully at Joliet Area Hospice Home, Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Age 90 years. Survived by her children Katherine McLean of Watseka, Dennis L. (Dr. Paula Bebej) Kilhafner of Lemont, Karen K. (Karl) Prati of Coal City and Deborah L. Kilhafner of Shorewood. Five grandchildren Luke and Kendell Kilhafner, Mollie, Chad and Tim Grunwald. Five great-grandchildren, her brother Bill Wallace of Ferguson, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, and her dog Rocky. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Dennis, her parents John T. and Mollie Wallace. And numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Bettie enjoyed gardening and especially her dogs. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Saturday, April 10th from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. Brother Ed Arambasich officiating. Inurment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Will County Humane Society will be appreciated.
