Passed away at Salem Village Nursing Home, Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Age 91 years.
Survived by two sons Frank (Cheryl) Chellino, Sr. of New Lenox and Gregory (Linda) Chellino of Joliet. Five grandchildren Frank (Jennie) Chellino, Jr., Tara Chelino, Wesley (Ryan) Chellino, Blake (Janice) and Keith (Taryn) Chellino. Fifteen great-grandchildren Hannah, Grace, Mary, Lucy, Charlotte, Logan, Lucas, Noah, Landyn, Cole, Tatum, Priscilla, Dolly, Miles and Dawson. Also survived by many nephew, cousins and good friends.
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Sam J. Chellino (1998), her parents Clyde and Catherine Funk, two sisters Mona Chellino and Shirley Spafford, two brothers Clyde Gualdino and Norman Funk.
Betty is a member of the Church of St. Anthony, Woman of the Year in 1981 and also served many spaghetti dinners at church. Member of V.F.W. Cantigny Post #300 Women's Auxiliary. Betty was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital and St. Patrick Retirement Home.
Betty's family would like to thank Home Instead of Joliet, Salem Village Nursing Home Staff and Joliet Area Community Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Betty.
Funeral service will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Saturday, November 19th at 9:30 A.M. to the Church of St. Anthony, 100 N. Scott Street, at 10:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
