Obituary

Betty Ann Dwyer (nee Canino) Age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her family by her side. Betty was a lifelong resident of Joliet. She graduated from Joliet Township High School (1948). She was actively involved in the family business, Lee's Supermarkets, as well as St. Raymond Nonnatus and Our Lady of Angels Church's . Survived by her daughter, Lynn Brandom, two sons: Michael (Gayle) Dwyer and David (Charlie Ann) Dwyer. Four Grandchildren: Michael (Beth) Dwyer, Anthony (Rozana) Dwyer, Jillian and Daniel Dwyer; two Great Grandchildren: Ella and Dylan Dwyer; two Nephews: Ken (Joan) Hailey and William Hailey; Cousins: Gene (Belander) Doll, Nancy and Earl Fischer, Joanne and Art McKay, Ken and Lorraine Marasso, Jack and Carol Jean Horvat, Jay and Kathleen Riley, Charles and Joanne Lewickas; several close Friends: Mary Ellen Aimaro, Marie Palya, Mary Ann Sartorelli, Julie and Robert Wright, Vic and Donna Biasetti, Leo and Nancy Korczak, Nick and Cindy Korczak, Jean Pellegrini, Doris James, and Mary Ann Kolb. Preceded in death by her husband Leo F. Dwyer (1990); her daughter Sandra Marie Dwyer (2005), her parents: Dominic and Sadina Canino; Father and Mother-in-law Leo E. and Emma Dwyer; her Sister and Brother in law Rosella and Stuart Belander; her Brother and Sister-in-law Bernard and Lorraine Hailey; and her nephew Patrick Hailey. Funeral Services will be held at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home located at 2320 Black Road, Joliet, IL on Monday March 21, 2016 at 9:30 AM to the Cathedral of St. Raymond for Mass at 10 AM. Interment is at Resurrection Cemetery – Romeoville. Visitation will be from 2 – 6 pm on Sunday March 20th at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home.
