Betty M. Stoxen, 94, of Lockport, Illinois passed away on Feb 28, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Oscar & Isabelle Dorow. She was born and raised in Joliet, IL and was a 1948 graduate of Joliet Township High School. Betty worked at the Will County Court House in the Circuit Clerk's Department for 35 years.

She is survived by her daughter Judith (Wienke) and son-in-law Gary Bright, step-children Susan Morey, Ernest W. Wienke Jr., Wendy Wyss and Dr. James Stoxen, her sister Jane Agazzi and cousin Roberta Mau. Grandchildren Sara (Mike) Kahne, Mark (Colleen) Bright, step-grandchildren Shawn & Nathan Morey, Erin Groth and Katie Wienke, Emily Lahti, and Micheal Wyss, and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and her close friends Joann Lapiana, Caron Wolf.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ernest W. Wienke (1994), second husband Dr. Paul Stoxen (2020), brother-in-law Jack Agazzi (1997), and numerous cousins and friends.

Betty was heavily involved with several local charities and organizations including Holly Club, Encore Shop and was a past president of Childerguild of Silver Cross Hospital and honored for 10,000 hours of volunteer service. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Joliet. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday March 4, 2024 at the Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory at 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Lightways Hospice of Joliet, Shriner's Childrens Hospital, or First Presbyterian Church of Joliet.
