C. Richard "Dick" Anselmino - Passed away suddenly, Saturday, September 13, 2015. Age 80 years. Dick was a lifelong Joliet resident. He attended Joliet Township High School where he played the clarinet in the band and was part of two Presidential Inauguration parades (Truman and Eisenhower). He attended Marquette University and while in Milwaukee met his future wife Phyllis whom he married on June 22, 1957. Upon his return to Joliet he joined the family business Anselmino's Fine Foods with his mom and dad, Mary and Charlie. A business Charlie started in 1933 and served the community for 54 years. Dick was not just a store owner, he was a friend and a mentor to many. After the store closed in 1987, he became a Realtor with Karges Realty for over 25 years. As long as he was working with people, he was happy. He never met a stranger, and made friends wherever he went. Dick's favorite place in the world was Door County Wisconsin. He loved taking photos of the fall leaves, sail boats, and the beautiful scenery. He spent 36 wonderful years enjoying his vacation home with his wife, family and friends. He loved to tell stories of all of his memories . He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and caring person to all who met him; a loving husband, wonderful father and amazing papa. Survived by his loving wife Phyllis (Porosky); three daughters Lisa Anselmino, Tammy Tippet and Denise (Don) Laurich; and four grandchildren, Thomas and Patrick Tippet, Lexie Laurich and Taylor Mainwaring. Preceded in death by his parents Mary (Milano) and Charles Anselmino. Memorial Mass will be held at Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
