Carl R. Hawkins, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by his family at Lightways Hospice, at the age of 73 years old.

Born on February 12, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, Carl was the son of the late Carl S. Hawkins and Jaunita (nee Lewis) Hawkins. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James W. Hawkins.

On November 10, 1979, Carl married the love of his life, Patricia A. Harmon. Together, they shared many years of love and companionship until Patricia's passing on May 22, 2019. Their marriage was a foundation of joy and partnership that Carl treasured deeply throughout his life.

Carl is survived by his two sons, Carl J. (Sherry) Hawkins and David W. (Vicki) Hawkins. He was a proud grandfather to Jessica, Alexis, Hailee, and Olivia, and a cherished great-grandfather to Huxley. He is also mourned by his sister, Carolyn (Drexel) Perry.

Carl's career as a railroad engineer spanned several decades, during which he worked on both the Rock Island Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad.
