Carol Anderson of Downers Grove IL, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024 from end stage renal failure. Carol was born on May 15,1954 in Joliet IL. She was a graduate of St. Bernard's grade school, Joliet East high school, and Joliet Junior College.

Carol worked for a number of Christian publishing houses, Awana, and most recently for the Chicago YMCA as a technical trainer for computer applications.

Carol came to the Lord in January,1972. Her personal relationship with Jesus was the most important part of her life. She will be remembered for her teaching skills, her sense of humor, and her infectious laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald Anderson and Helen Smith Anderson, stepmother Dorothy Anderson. She is survived by her sister Barbara (Dean) Garton, nephews Russell (Angie) Garton, and Roger (Hannah) Garton. Also survived by great nieces and nephews Lydia, Molly, Bervens, Elyse, Sylvan, and Elam.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles funeral home 2320 Black Road, Joliet, IL. Memorial Service will be November 2, 2024 at 12 Noon. Memorial visitation will be from 11 AM until time of services. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Joliet immediately following services.
