Caroline Marie (Oldani) Podolski April 9, 1921 - June 14, 2023

Age 102, passed away Wednesday, June 14th at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Maria (nee Zanzola) Oldani; her loving husband of 54 years, Frank J. Podolski; her sister Babe Oldani; as well as many relatives and both old and new friends.

Caroline is survived by her daughters: Mary Ann (Gary) Barton of Innsbrook, MO, Joann (Richard) Infusino of Rockford, IL, and her son George (Sally) Podolski of New Lenox, IL, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with number 14 due in December.

Caroline lived a full and genuinely joyful life since her birth in 1921. As she often said, "I've been through a lot!" Caroline had a tremendous love for her family and she prayed for them all daily. She lovingly weaved both Polish and Italians traditions into her family which are carried on to this day.

The family would like to thank Our Lady of Angels of Joliet, The Cottages of New Lenox, and Lightways Hospice for their care of Caroline. Any donations made in Caroline's honor may be directed to Lightways Hospice, which provided exceptional care and compassion during Caroline's final months.

Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 from the funeral home at 9:15 am to Holy Family Catholic Church 600 Brook Forest Shorewood, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
