Our Beloved Mother, Charlene Kay Nova, 65, of Lyons,Illinois, Departed her loving family on January 22,2023,
at Christ Hospital in Oaklawn.
Charlene was born in Terre Haute Indiana on December 13, 1957 to Mother, Patricia Ann Akers and Father, Charles Edward Akers.
Charlene was Mother to Katherine Akers, Wilfredo Rodriguez Jr , Amanda Nova and Adalberto Nova Jr.
Charlene was a Homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. She would start her mornings and end her nights with a can of RC with a straw and a cigarette. She babysat everyone in her families children, her home was always open to anyone who was in need. She enjoyed listening to music in her kitchen
while cooking and cleaning. She was an amazing cook. Her kitchen had a title called KAY'S FAT FARM. One of her favorite things to do was play her Nintendo,Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong. If you knew Charlene you would know she would always be looking out the window of her home waiting for you to arrive followed by a kiss out the window as she watched you leave. Kay was a strong woman! Her life wasn't easy but she had away about her to still keep going. filling her home up with children, music, laughter and love. Her uniqueness was different but one of a kind. Charlene Leaves many memories to cherish. she will be missed always.

Great Grandchildren Jaycee Brianna Cleary, Jaylee Jean Cleary, Miia Olivia Faraj, Charlotte Catherine Faraj;
One surviving sister Georgiana Akers; One surviving brother Timothy Akers; Nieces 10 and Nephews 11
Joined in Heaven with Mother, Patricia Ann Akers; Father, Charles Edward Akers; Sister, Rosa Mae Akers;
Brothers, Charles Edward Jr and James Franklin Akers.
Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
