Charles Roland Anderson

Age 95, passed away, Friday, June 2, 2023 in Angola, IN. Charles was born in Red lake, MN on October 26, 1927 to the late, Philip L. and Maude Clara (nee Poutz) Anderson and moved to Joliet in 1936.

He was an Army Veteran during WWII. He was a 50 year member of the Bricklayer's Union Local 14 and Local 74, retiring in 1987. He was a Life-Member of Matteson Lodge # 175 A.F.& A.M., The Joliet Shrine Club and Mt. Joliet Lodge # 42.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith Anderson (2000); a brother, James E. (Marge) Anderson and a sister, Dorothy E. Laughton.

Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been respectfully accorded.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until of service at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Nygard officiating. Private inurnment at Elmhurst Cemetery.
