Charles E. Atchley "Chuck" Age 70 yrs. Passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Knoxville, TN and resided in Joliet for many years. He retired from Economic Laboratory after many years of service. Chuck was an accomplished musician. He composed and sang many of his songs. He was an avid gardener. Presided in death by his wife, Paulette (nee Gleason) (2017); his parents, John and Louise (nee Capps) Atchley; two sisters, Edie Lukancic and Martha Tremper; one niece, Renee Ruettiger Gambino and one nephew, John Ruettiger. Survived by one sister, Sue (Bob) Ruettiger; his special niece, Laura Ruettiger; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Jim Lukancic and Pete Tremper; one nephew-in-law, Vince Gambino and his trusted canine companion, Laddie. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
