Of Joliet, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Age 86 years.
Survived by his three sons David of Ft. Myers, FL., Daniel (Cynthia) of Minooka and Mark (Mary) of Channahon. Six grandchildren Donald, Shane, Yesenia, Michael, Jessica and Gabrielle Muir. Two sisters Delores (Raymond-deceased) Marini of Joliet, Wanda (Gordon) Mather of Blue River, WI, three brothers Donald (Sharon) of San Diego, CA., Dean (Jolene) of Rockford, and Gale (Joy) Muir of Ringgold, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Gladys A Muir (July 21, 2013), his father Gabriel (Charlotte-deceased) Muir and his mother Louise (Walt-deceased) Gora, a brother and sister-in-law Bill and Carol Muir; two brothers-in-law Fran (Alvera-deceased) White and Bill (Lucille-deceased) White, and a grandson Jonathan Muir.
Dale was born in Joliet on March 1, 1928. He was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Veteran of the US Navy, and retired from Olin Chemical after 38 years. He was a member of Faith Bible Church and a former member of First Assembly of God Church.
Dale will be remembered for his deep faith and his enjoyment of music, fishing and bowling.

Private family services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Fernland officiating. Memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice will be appreciated.
