Daniel A. Swiersz - passed away peacefully at home, with his loving family by his side, Saturday, September 25, 2021. Age 86. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn (Maxwell) Swiersz, his daughter Sherry Mundt, grandson Luke Mundt and his sisters Joan (Don) Govoni and Geraldine Gutzman. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Josephine (Gurka) Swiersz, his brother Edward (Clara) Swiersz, his sister Patsy Schwab and brother-in-law Walt Gutzman. Daniel retired after 45 years, from Supreme Radiator and Body Co. He served as President of the Machinists Union Local 1749 for 20 years. He was an accomplished horseman, competing with contest horses in Illinois and Indiana. He enjoyed spending time in the barn, and with his grandson fishing and 4wheeling. Daniel was a hardworking and loyal man that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Visitation held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10:00 A.M until time of services at 11:00 A.M.
