Danny L. Gaddis Sr. - Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Silver Cross Hospital. Age 62. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Nona (Morgan). Two daughters Leona (Doug) Geyer, Melissa (Paul) Widner; and one son Danny L. Gaddis Jr. Grandchildren Eric (Lupe), Brian and Rebecca Geyer. One cousin Virginia (Sammy) Shew, also survived by extended family, in laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Bennie and Marlene (nee McDowell); his granddaughter Jessica Geyer, father in law Marvin Morgan and two brother in laws Dennis Morgan and Gary Smith. Retired from State of Illinois after 27 years with the Department of Human Services. Danny was an avid fisherman and wood worker, with a passion for music and love for family. A lover of wildlife especially his three dogs. Member and Past Master of Elwood Lodge #919 A.F & A.M., also a member of Joliet York Rite Bodies, Medina Shrine and Joliet Shrine Club. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. John Vogel officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Shriners Hospital or charity of your choice will be appreciated. Visitation Monday 3-8 PM. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7PM.
