Dartha Mae Sutton – of Plainfield, IL., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at River Crossing. Age 87. She was born in Drew, Mississippi to Walter and Mabel Catchings on December 14, 1934. Dartha was a factory worker, a loving homemaker, and an avid church member. Survived by her sons Kenneth (Jill) Sutton and Jeff Sutton, both of Detroit, MI and daughter Karon (Michael) Givens of Plainfield, IL. Her 42 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving her brother James Catchings of Memphis, TN and her sisters Mary Knox of Powder Springs, GA. and Joyce Catchings of Detroit, MI. Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Mabel (Trotter) Catchings, her husband James Henry Sutton and her sons James and Greg Sutton. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM until time of services at 12 Noon.
