David A.
Dite
June 29, 1981 – April 24, 2024
David A. Dite
Born to Owen and Teresa on June 29, 1981, Dave came into this world much in the same way as he left it on April 24, 2024 at the age of 42; significantly grumpy and with very little hair on his head.
Survived by his loving wife of over 13 years Amanda, his beloved dogs Ritz and Stu. His mother Teresa Dimmick (Wally). Daughter Angel Dite-Tripp (Joey), granddaughter Anna Thoms and by more family, friends and loved ones than you could shake a stick at.
Preceded in death by his father Owen Dite.
Thankfully growing up before electronic data sharing would evolve to make a permanent record of any youthful activities; no matter the period of his life or the occasion, there was nothing Dave enjoyed more than spending it with friends, family, and friends who became family, especially if bacon was somehow involved.
A diehard "Mopar or no car" fan, Dave's automotive passion is expressed in part by a crusty old lifted Dodge Tin Grille offroad truck which, amongst other Dodge vehicles, was also involved in a good amount of said undocumented youthful activities. That's alright; we won't hold any of this against him.
Despite his birthright grumpy exterior, Dave had a heart that was every bit as large as his tall stature and he would bare-handedly tear through a brick wall if he knew it would help a person or animal in need, though these days the animals would probably get priority over a lot of humans.
At any rate, if he were to read this now, he'd dismiss it with a wave of his hand and quickly change the subject with some version of "Yeah, anyhow…" before ever admitting to anyone that he was truly a great person. Anyone that knew Dave also knew they had a hero who would be at their side in any emergency; who would share a covered porch, a bonfire, and a good meal. To know Dave was to KNOW Dave, a man who didn't hold any punches or hide any opinions. What you saw was what you got. And what we got was one heck of a man that the world can never replace.
