David D. Lucky passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home February 18, 2018, after a four year courageous battle with Melanoma. Age 53.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Marilyn Lucky, father in law James D. Slemp and brother in law Michael D. Slemp.
Survived by his devoted wife of 25 years Christine (Slemp) Lucky, loving father of Jacob T. Lucky, sister Jody L. (Edward) Sobodas, nephew and niece Dan (Alicia) Sobodas, Katie Sobodas and great nephews Landon and Nolan Sobodas.
David was a plumber with Local 130 for over 25 years.
David was an avid car enthusiast, his happiest times were at the race track, especially when he was watching his son race. He enjoyed trips with family and friends, spending time with his family was most important to him. He was a loving husband and dad, a selfless devoted man, who will be missed by all that knew him. The family would like to thank their family and friends for all their love and support through this difficult time.
The family would also like to thank David's Oncologist Dr. Chandra of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home for all their love and support and care given to David.
Lying in state at the Crystal Lawns Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 9:30 A.M until time of services at 10:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home Friday from 2-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be appreciated.
