O'Keefe
April 20, 1948 – May 14, 2025
Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at Rush Copley Medical Center on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the age of 77.
David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Charlene (nee Majetich); his sons Jerry O'Keefe, Ryan (Holly Keenon) O'Keefe, Kevin (Maria) O'Keefe, Brett O'Keefe, Kyle
(Carrie) O'Keefe, Jeff Sieja, and his daughter Breanna O'Keefe; grandchildren include: from Ryan, Savannah O'Keefe and Maya Kush; from Kevin, Kellan and Elizabeth
O'Keefe; and from Jeff, Jessica and Stephanie Sieja. Two great-grandchildren also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Lyla O'Keefe and grandson Gavin.
David's greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. They brought him great pride. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox, and
Cubs. He loved photography, black-powder target shooting, and relaxing doing crossword puzzles. David enjoyed being a Cub Scout Leader with his sons for several
years. He had a passion for blues music and really enjoyed spending time at jam sessions with his fellow blues musicians. David worked for Com Ed for over 30 years.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Carlson Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Sunday, May 25th from 11am to 3pm. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the National Council on Aging at donorservices@ncoa.org or the Will County Humane Society in his name will be appreciated.
