Dawn M. Kemp (nee Salerno) – passed away peacefully surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer Friday, February 11, 2022. Age 48 years. Dawn is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Brian Kemp, her beloved children Brian and Rebecca Kemp, treasured siblings Frank (Deanna) Salerno and Lisa (Jason) Oskorep. In-laws Edward and Susan Kemp, sister-in-law Karen (Jamie) Kaminski and beloved DeeDee of 8 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Susanne (Karpinski) Salerno. Dawn was a dedicated professional educator who sought out multiple degrees to expand her own understanding of educational leadership, empowering staff to help young learners to succeed. She was a loving dedicated and devoted wife and mom. Dawn was the most giving person despite the fight of her health battles, she always gave to others. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to metastatic breast cancer research at donate.metavivor.org. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd, Thursday, February 17, at 10:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M.
