Obituary

(nee Skoff) – She was granted her Angel wings after a brief but fierce battle with cancer, entered into eternal life, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving and devoted family by her side. Diane was adored by many and loved by all. Age 69. Survived by her beloved husband Jim Moats; her loving daughter Kim (Tom) Kilcoyne, her son Jayme (fianc Rebecca) Moats and step-son Brent (Karen) Moats. Ten grandchildren Keith Kilcoyne, Jordan, Devin, Alexia, Anneka and Ethan Moats, Jasmin and Sofia Staranowicz, Kaylan and Dylan Moats. A brother Art (Peggy) Skoff and a sister Renee (nee Skoff) Keagle. Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive. Preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Irene (nee Howe) Skoff Sr; grandparents Anton and Elizabeth (nee Boecker) Skoff and Rufus and Mayme (nee Cardwell) Howe; step-grandfather Perry Franson; two brothers Richard (Jo) Skoff and Anthony (Barbara) Skoff Jr.; two sisters Maxine (Bob) Schaffnit and Patsy (Art) Eyman. Diane was a very hard and dedicated worker. Retired from New Breed in Bolingbrook, after many years of service. She will be remembered as a devoted, giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren, they were her greatest treasures. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play and was always seen cheering them on in the stands. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, family gatherings, and our 'Crazy Family Adventures'. Life always seems too short for some but the lives she touched was many. Her family always came first in her life and her door was always open to all. She gave us all such hope and always reminded us how precious life really is. Known for her zest for life and great sense of humor. No matter the moment she could always make you laugh. Diane will be greatly missed. The family would like to give their heartfelt thank you to the Joliet Area Community Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Perhaps they are not the Stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the Love shines through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
