Dorothy A. Corniels (nee Phillips) Age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Symphony of Joliet. Born in Joliet on August 6, 1927 she was a lifelong resident of Joliet and New Lenox. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, W. James "Jim" Corniels; her parents, Daniel and Beatrice (nee Lazarus) Phillips and one sister, Ruth Phillips. Survived by two children, Dan Corniels and Jill Knight; four grandchildren, Brandon and Austin Corniels and Dana and Nathan Knight. A memorial visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 Noon, Chaplain Joe Newton officiating. Private inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorothy's name would be appreciated to Season's Hospice, 2195 W.
