Passed away at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, with her family by her side,. Monday, November 29, 2021. Age 80 years. Survived by her daughter Stacy (Ed) Bargas. Three grandsons Eric (Elyn Boyle) Bargas, Tyler Bargas and Blair Flatten, Jr. Three great-grandchildren Landon, Lillian and Bexley Bargas. Her sister Brenda Payne. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Ronald D. Flatten (2012) and her son Blair D. Flatten, Sr. (2010). Four brothers Jack, Eugene, Clyde Jr. and David Payne. Two sisters Mary Ishmael and Lucille Reichardt. Edith was born in Havana, Illinois on December 1, 1940 to Clyde and Lillie Payne. Edith worked as a caregiver with Community Care Systems in Joliet for many years. Her most enjoyable pleasure in life was caring for her grandchildren. A private family gathering of remembrance will be held.
