Elaine C. Boros (nee Elliott) – passed away peacefully, Wednesday May 8, 2024, at Ascension St. Joseph. Age 83.
Survived by her children Mark (Stephanie) Boros, J. Daniel Wenberg, Scott (Karen) Wenberg, Kimberly Kaumeheiwa and Wendy (Mark) Brown; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren her brother William (Anita) Elliott and her sister Sharon Richie. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Elliott, her first husband James Wenberg, her second husband Kenneth Boros, her brothers Thomas Elliott, George "Ed" Elliott, John Elliott and her brother-in-law Dale Richie.
Elaine was a longtime member of Theodore Street Lutheran Church. She retired from Sliver Cross Hospital after 28 years, then became a member of the Advisory Board of the hospital, and also enjoyed being very involved with the Encore Shop. Elaine served as a Will County Election Judge for many years. She loved sewing and crocheting, suppling her family with many afghans through the years. Elaine enjoyed, flowers, plants and animals, but her greatest love was her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00 A.M. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 – 7:00 P.M. For information (815) 744-0022 or www.CHSFUNERAL.com
