Eliazin Velazquez, 65, passed peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL, with his loving family by his side.

He is survived by his loving mother Reyna Salgado. Two sisters Elvia Velazquez and Graciela Velazquez. His son Louis Velazquez and his daughter Rosalinda Velazquez.

Born on April 15, 1959 in Mexico, Eliazin came to the United States in 1981, where he settled down in Chicago, IL. He started off working in the fruit market. He loved working difficult occupations, including driving semi-trucks and operating cranes. In his free time, he enjoyed planting in his garden and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He was passionate about music and loved playing instruments.

Eliazin was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He first came to Christ in 1987. He made it his life mission to preach the gospel to all he came in contact with. He reflected God's love and kindness to those around him.
