Elmer "Bud" L. Fredericks – passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice, Thursday, July 19, 2012. Age 83 years. Survived by wife of 49 years Shirley A. Fredericks (nee Botka), daughter Jodie McDonald, three sons Bradley, John and James (Maria) Fredericks. A granddaughter Alexa Rae Fredericks. His sister Mary Ann Hoffman. Preceded in death by his parents Simon and Marie Fredericks, two sisters Viola Marchand and Helen Decker, six brothers Joseph, Simon, Ernnest, Frank, Charles and Lester Fredericks. Elmer retired from the Wedgewood Golf Course where he was a grounds keeper for many years. He formerly worked at the Chicken Man in Joliet. Veteran of the W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Elmer was a Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Monday, July 23 at 12:30 P.M. Pastor Greg Munyon officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Stoke Association will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
