Obituary

Emmett "Mac" Earl McKeller- passed away peacefully, at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, August 23, 2020. Age 77. Emmett grew up in Kentucky until relocating to Illinois, attending Wilmington High School and graduating from Gardner South Wilmington High School. He married the love of his life Ruby, October 26, 1962. He received several awards and recognition from his career in Nuclear Power, working at several sites throughout his career, retiring from Commonwealth Edison. After retirement he had a lawn care and Sign business that he thoroughly enjoyed. Emmett enjoyed travel, coin collecting, his dog Mimi, watching westerns and news. Actively involved in his Church in a variety of capacities, he was a Faithful servant. He always provided for his family, making a good life for his wife and children. Preceded in death by his parents Archibald and Lou Ann (Moss) McKeller and his brother Donald McKeller. He is survived by his loving wife Ruby Ann McKeller, his children Timothy and Peggy Sue (Lance) Franklin, grandchildren Tryston McKeller and Faith Franklin; and one brother James McKeller. A memorial visitation will be held at the Carlson- Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Hospice would be appreciated.
